I need to know my transfer case model number. How do I find out?

Here's my truck:

2007 GMT-900 Vortec Max 6.0 w/NHT package (heavy duty trailering)

I think I just found the model. I believe it is MP3023

Now I need to find the High and Low range of this transfer case.

High range: 1.00:1

Low range: 2.69:1

Thanks for your help everyone!

Can you or anyone show me where I can verify this. All the info I googled says NQH = MP3023.

I can't find any mention of a "LD 27T" anywhere.

Nope, I'm giving it off the top of my head. 07 half ton has 4 speed trans which has a 27T output and half tons are the light duty transfer case which has a 1.25" rocker pin chain.

There is no model stamped in those units, only a serial number. The tcase originally has a sticker with the GM part number and GM broadcast code. Even if the sticker has not fallen off I don't think you can read it in the vehicle. The sticker is towards the front of the transfercase at the top.

OK...so from what I have been reading you either have an NP 236 or an NP/NVG 246

I would wager money on the latter as it more describes what you should have....mostly the number 4...Part time plus full time, electrically shifted. #3 says its a Part time electronicly shifted case...more like what should be in the 2500 model. Basically, how it reads to me a 246 has the auto position and the 236 does not.

NP/NVG T-Case explained:

I am not 100% sure if GM stuck with the NP/NVG T-Cases in the NNBS trucks though.
