stewy_05 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Nice car! Once you dump the auto for a 5 speed it will be a whole new car to drive. Had a few 5.0 Mustangs in my day. My fav was my 1986 GT 5.0 convertible with a 5 speed & 3.27 axle. A good high/mid 13 second car with very few mods. Put 160k of abuse on the clock and the engine never gave up, but a few 5 speeds did. The 5.0 Mustangs only Fords I have ever owned yet each one was soooo much fun to drive. Nothing like boiling tires in a solid axle car with a manual trans. Then I got older & had to switch to GM trucks in 1994 because Ford trucks were too ugly for me. I have yet to drive a newer non 5.0 mustang as they do not appeal to me. Might have to drive one of the new 400hp 5.0's that start production in a few months. The 5.0 is back for 2011. your right and they are still ugly
s-ten Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 That is one of my favorite style Mustangs. They have a simple design but it all works well together.
