Rim Size For Best Tire Selection

Hope the title made sense. I got a 2010 SD and was wondering what the best rim size is to get a good selection of affordable tires. Don't want to spend a fortune.

 

A couple ideas I've had were putting some more aggressive winter tires on the stock 20's and getting 22's for the summer or getting 18's with an aggresive tire for winter and keepin stock 20's for the summer.

 

What do you guys think?

By a general rule... bigger the rim... more expensive the tire... Go to tirerack.com or treadepot.com and look up some tire sizes with the rims you're looking at and the tire you want and get a idea

Getting 18s with agressive tires would be cheaper because then you don't have to buy 22s w/tires and winter tires for your 20s. If you are set on 22s though you can find 22in street tires at a reasonable price depending on the brand and tire size
