What Is The "right" Way To Level Your Gmt900?

I don't want to be replacing, uh - whatever it is that seems to wear out more quickly if you use a leveling kit more than 1.5" - all the time.

I have been looking at the Bilstein 5100 kit, as well as the Rancho quicklift kit. Are these basically the same thing? I want to do it the right way when I get my new crew cab. Will these kits prevent things from wearing out prematurely?

Any help or suggestions would be lovely.

depending on what height you want your vehichle to sit ,, raise the front or lower the rear

1. Rough Country spacer seems to be the preferred method

2. Remove Rear Block

2. Replace Rear Shackle

and yes , longer strut members

Did mine with the torsion adjustment at 1.5 inches and looks level and fine.

Have read a lot on this and yes the general consensus is no more than 1.5...

I also added monroe reflex shocks.

Here is what mine looks like right now,i know i need bigger tires HAHAHA.

Ithink he has a 1500 not a 2500 like yours so there will be no torsion adjusting...

You are right, sorry about that. I should have been more specific in my original post.

I am asking about a 2010 Crew Cab 1500. I don't want to use the spacers because of the wear issue.

Well the only way is to increase the total length of the strut, either spacer or a longer strut. Both gain height, both affect part wear. If you want height without wear you will need a larger lift that drops the spindle/control arm.

Whoops. I knew that, I have no idea why I wrote it that way.

While we're at it:

-You didn't capitalize the first word in your sentences

-You have no punctuation

-You used, "its" rather than "it's."

-Lotta isn't a word

exactly what i was going to say... you could lower the rear via removing the blocks or new shackles to level the truck, then get a 1.5" or 3" bl depending on what size tires you want to fit. (ill actually be leveling my truck this way in the near future... along with some helper bags for towing)
