New Tires After Leveling Kit

Sup guys. Just had a quick question. I just put in a 2 1/2" leveling kit on my 07 NBS and wanted to swap out my 24s for some mudgrips or A/T's on my stock 17" but im just not too sure if I can run 33's with the leveling kit. The box said I could but it seems to me like they would rub if I got some. Any clues as if they would rub or not? Or if 33's wont fit whats the biggest I can go with?

-Thanks!

There are several guys running Cooper Zeon LTZ 275/60R20's (aka 33's) on the forum with only a leveling kit... I'll be putting on LTZ's in the next few weeks.

Try a search next time :flag:

With your stock wheels you will have no issues running a 33" tire.

The sizes you can run is

33x12.5x17

285/70/17

305/65/17

or

if you want to push it a little you can get 295/70/17. I have seen guys running this with no issues also.

PS- the Coopers above are for 20" rims and you asked about 17" rims.

Any 275 width tire on GM factory rims with an overall height of 33" will fit with 2" level.

As for wider tires, such as 285s 305s etc, i dunno.... good luck.

I had 285/70/17 bfg's on my truck with stock wheels when I had just the 2" leveling kit. I had no rubbing at all.

So on the factory 20'' rim the biggest tire you can run with a leveling kit is 275/60r/20... i just got my 2.5 leveling kit on and also have been wondering the same question.

So here is my 99 silverado with 285-75-16's on it and it has just a slight rub on the front but not enough to do anything. and it only rubs if i turn as hard as i can one way... now its only the driver side that it rubs on.

My 275/60R20's are 32.99" overall diameter.... so with an 18" rim you could run a 285/65R18, which is 32.58" diameter. Not sure if you could get away with anything taller/wider than that....?

Got rid of the 24s and threw some Nitto Mud Grappler 33s on my stocks. Now i can finally go through a little mud without sliding, the lo pros. just werent doing the job..lol..Loving the Nittos except for they rub a bit when I turn so now I'm thinking of adding some spacers and a body lift, hopefully that'll fix the problem. Thanks for yalls help!

Wheel wells look a little stuffed, a BL would look great and bring you back into proportion. I like keeping the stock wheels. Looks good even if you leave it like it is.

Looks good man.. I don't think it looks too stuffed... Even though I hate the Mud Grapplers the truck looks good with the stock and 33's
