Write Off?

So I posted earlier last week or the week before that I got into a rear ender and there was 6200 dollars in damages.. Well this past saturday I was out at a pub downtown hanging out with a friend from out of town, and I got out to my truck to find it severly crooked in the parking stall I had parked in.. The truck beside mine was gone. As I investigate for damage the owner of the MASSIVE truck beside mine asks me if I had seen his truck. This is a truck you dont miss.. 06 F350, 10 inch lift, 37 inch tires, rims, and a massive Road Armor bumper on the front. I of course said I had seen it when i parked and he said yea.. Thats my truck. It had been stolen and the guy who stole it instead of pulling out of the parking lot carefully which would have been hard regardless (due to it being a tight parking lot) the stolen truck was turned towards my truck and pinned it, smashing my front bumper, headlight ect. The force of the truck hitting mine was enough to shift the cab and the passenger side of the cab hit my box bending up the bedrail and denting the cab against it. So after all that, Calling insurance (which I had done a week prior and my truck was to go in for repairs next monday) they told me to just goto the repair shop and get it looked at right away. So thats where it sits possibly a total loss according to insurance and the repair shops quick 2 min look. So its there now Im driving the worst car I have ever driven, a dodge charger.. ugh. my truck is fast, better looking (even when smashed) Regardless Im hoping for it to be a total loss in that then I can find a new one that will still have value as after 2 accidents my resale value.. is well Shot all to hell. What a past couple weeks is been.

Man, that really sucks. Hopefully insurance will just give you a fat check to get a new one.

Hopefully insurance won't just give you NADA loan value..... but sadly, I wouldn't hold my breath. Sucks man...

That's terrible news Robb, sorry to hear about the bad streak of luck. Hopefully the insurance company takes care of you either way.

Yeah, that would be like pouring alcohol on a gaping wound. Too bad that is what it usually ends up being especially if you don't fight them for everything. Add up all your upgrades if you have them and if you have low miles, point that our too. Try to get them to go off of mid retail Blue Book. After all, that is what you are going to have to pay to get an identical truck (same year, options, miles, etc.)

Sorry about your truck....... Sometimes when it rains it pores........ I hope they anti up good for ya....

My insurance company still has not...... Actually caused me to move companies... I filled suit against them after I changed companies. I'm probably never going to get a DIME.....

This is my last truck. I had stopped driving it everyday after I bought the 99.... Man I had some good times in that truck... Hate to think about it...... Heck took the other half on our first date in.... and I think I pop'd the question sitting on the tailgate of that truck toooo...... Dunno... I bet she remembers better than I do but I AM NOT GOING TO ASK HER.

The adjusters I talked to were "No No NO NO" it is under recall contact Ford.... The cruise wiring caught on fire...... It had full coverage....
