Hood Swap (gmt-800)

Hey everyone...I have noticed that the gmt-800 (99-02) silverado HD has a more aggressive front hood. And i have only seen them on silvys so far...Is it possible to swap a hood from one of those to my 99 sierra?

It just looks so cool, i want it haha

The Body Lines around the Grille and the Headlamps are different, this Chevy Hood will not fit your GMC.

+1 on the Chevy to GMC hood transfer.

 

BUT, do you know if the GMC 2500 series truck also had the power bulge hoods? If they did, maybe you can fit a GMC 2500 to GMC 1500 hood.

I don't think there was any difference to the GMC hoods & fenders thru the GMT800 model run. The MCE in '04 was more drastic on the Chevs than GMCs. In '04 the 1500 Chevs got a new hood, grille, bumper & fenders. I'm pretty sure the GMCs only got a new grille & bumper.

 

Then in '05, the Chevy HDs got a new grille & hood (fenders & bumper stayed the same). Not sure which year the HD hood was added to the 1500 Chev.
