Steering Wheel And Buttons Peeling

Well got the brushed aluminum parts for the steering wheel (25824700 and 25824698) from gmpartsdirect exactly one week from the day I ordered. Not too bad. Anyway will try to post before and after pics. I don't plan on changing the rest of the wood trim but I expect that it will look fine just doing the steering wheel...

Wife was not happy about spending $80 on some plastic but I can't stand it when things start to degrade especially when its right in front of you.

I'd like to see these pictures if you have them.... I have 2007 LTZ and my black ones are peeling as well. Trying to find the wood parts for steering wheel if anyone knows the numbers however I might end up settling with the silver.

Looks good. Me personally I would have sent them to someone to refinish them or redo the completely I had some vehicles that I sent parts to VCFinishes and was amazed at the look and quality of them . I had 15 pieces done for 200 bucks in burlwood. They can typically match current interior pieces and I think they do everything but chrome

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe and I am totally disappointed with this truck. I paid over 50,000 and don't think it will hold up and last. I have several problems. Steerling wheel pealing, started 2 year ago same goes for AC controls. All four center caps (I think that is what they are called) for my rims are peeling. There is a rattling when I drive in the interior, not sure what it is from. Automatic start works when it feels like it. Just had the yoke fixed. There is more but its very late and I can't think of all the other things. Just disappointed. I only drive my truck to and from work, take care of it and while in the beginning it looked nice inside, now it just looks cheap. Does anyone know if any of this is covered by the dealer?

Old topic, but I'm experiencing the same problem on my brand new 2013. I was going to not fool with the dealer for warranty repair, but man, that is a 45 dollar part! Maybe I will be seeing the dealer afterall.
