Funny Story About My Wife And The Tahoe

So last week my wife all the sudden while walking through the kitchen says OH YEA i forgot to tell you 2 days ago (thanks for telling me then) the stabilitrac light was on while driving to work (impressed she knew what it was). I was like ok. She said it was driving kinda loose (well no traction control will do that) Then she said I think there is an electrical problem because the dome light isnt working. Later in the day i went and checked things out. Everything was fine except the dome light was turned off, no wonder why it wasnt working. Then I asked if the light was flashing or on solid. It was on solid. Figured out she hit the stabilitrac button while putting her drink in the cupholder.

 

Then today we are getting ready to go on a walk and she walks behind the Tahoe and is looking at the bumper, I am like what are you doing. She starts to laugh. Well she backed into a tree while backing into her parking space at work. Luckily it isnt bad at all, you cant even tell unless you run your hand on the bumper just below the black plastic piece then you can feel a slight indentation.

 

So this is what I learned. Make her read the manual and take a test

 

Second our next vehicle will have backup sensors and a backup camera.

 

By the way can the backup sensors be added after the fact? I think I am going to hide my keys

That's so funny that they seem to tell us things like it just came back in their minds. Wasn't a worry for her since she didn't have to deal with fixing it. I know EXACTLY how you feel.

oh, duh sorry long day and I am working on my final project for my last class towards my masters.

Oh how I love my Av's combo of rear sensors AND camera...lifesaver...or, um, bumper and fender saver.

 

You can add sensors after the fact, for sure. Done all the time, usually in a kit of 4.

Try this one...... backing out of the garage.... you manage to hit the passengers side mirror on the wall.. Break it off the truck. Upon hitting the mirror and breaking it off she calls me..... 30 minutes later..... I get a second phone call.... When she hit the mirror she cut the wheel hard..... She had wrecked the front fender, hood, bumper, and tire on the same side........ Not to mention the brick wall garage door and a couple other things....

 

I'm not complaining thou.... 3 weeks ago I pulled in the garage and hit my mirror.... Thank god for break-a-way mirrors......
