Coolant Leaking 09 Chevy

SO I HADE MY HEATER CORE REPALCED A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO ( IN MY 09 ) IT ONLY HAD LIKE 3000 MILES ON IT AROUND THERE THE WHOLE TRUCK SMELLS LIKE COOLANT STILL I HAVE LIKE 4000 MILES ON IT NOW STILL HAVE THE SMELL I AM JUST VENTING HERE I AM PRETTY PISSED PAY ALL THAT MONEY FOR A TRUCK THAT SMELLS NASTY INSIDE

I think they need to change the carpet as well,I'm sure it was soaked with coolant and getting that smell out will be tough.

THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WILL TAKE A WHILE TO GET THE SMELL OUT IT WAS ALL OVER THE DASH WINDSHEILD SIDE WINDOWS IN THE VENTS ..........

Yeah, press the caps lock button..... and repeat... 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 several times...... Drive to dealership. Walk in service department. Remind them you had a coolant leak from the heater core. The truck has 4k on the clock. The leak was at 3k...... It still smells and you want the smell gone before you pick the truck back up.

I had a similar issue with a water leak....... It was a drain that had weld slag in it..... It took them a year to find the leak point. In that year I developed a mold under the carpet....... They made it good after they had the leak fixed. New carpet and rear seat bottom (rusted and had mold).

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. The loud one gets nothing usually because it is locked up already...
