LOL...we just finished up a 78 Jimmy that we lifted with springs.

Its easy to get acrried away with something quickly...the truck that was supposed to have 10-bolts and 35's with a 6" lift now sits 18" higher on a Dana 60 front (G80 locked) and a 14-Bolt rear Detroit locked. with 40's and 18" polished aluminum wheels.

This thing had to be switched to a high steer kit...that involved getting a kit or making one. A 2wd steering box...a drop pitman arm from a jeep...about 12ft of chrome molly tubing and some bungs...than you order new caps for the kingpins so you can put big honkin Tie rods in there.

You will have to get wedges to change the pinion angle, You may or may not have to get longer shafts....Does this truck have 10-bolt diffs?? They wont take much more than 35" tires...and not even that if you plan on beating it like a red headed stepchild.

If you don't have your mind made up in the next few weeks, I'll be back home and can take pics of the 78

You will need new drive shafts.... What motor is in there? You will need more engine or at least gears in the 4:88+ range, especially if you want to get through the mud.
