2010 Homelink Wiring Pinout

Hello, I have a 2010 Sierra with Homelink. The remote is live all the time, I want to change it so that if someone breaks in to my truck in the driveway, they can't open the grage door and get inside.

There are 3 wires connected to the Homelink remote, Black, Red White and Brown White Red appears to have +12VDC all the time. The other 2 wires appear to be ground but are not connected and have a high resistance between them.

For now I have cleared the codes so that the homelink will not open my doors. I was broken in to last week, but they didn't try to open the garage.

So I am thinking maybe putting a relay in line with the +12 VDC red wire and triggering it from something up there. I have thought about tapping the sunroof switch, but they are all smaller wires, so I think they are just control wires, I don't want to mess up the computers.

Anyone have a wiring schematic they can send me? Has anyone ever done this before? Is there a way to program this functunality ? I checked the DIC but there is no option that I can see.

thanks

For any help.

Can't help you with a diagram but you can pick up RAP (retained accessory power) in the MBEC down by the brake peddle. Shouldn't take to much to get a single power feed up to the home link buttons from there. Here are some directions on connectiong to the accessory power. RAP how to

hey i just did this to my homelink because i don't like that it is always powered on, someone breaks into truck then opens garage, doesn't seem like a good idea.

*anyway what i did was removed the overhead console,

*disconnect the main overhead connector x304,

*remove the red/white terminal from the connector terminal pin B,

*depending on your options there should be a yellow (wire terminal pin L) if it is not on the console connector side it should be on the truck connector side.

*install terminal into mating terminal for yellow wire,

The yellow wire is for power sliding window (rpo A48) and is an accesory voltage it will stay on with the Retained accesory power.
