Opinion On Stance Of The Truck

I have had a 2" skyjacker leveling kit with 285's for awhile now and really do love the stance, but it seems to rake just a tad bit and I want it absolutely level. This is on my 08 silverado. If I remove the rear block will I have a more level look or more cali lean? If anyone has pictures or input I'd love to hear. I'll post some pictures and see what you guys think about the stance.

P.S. I know the pics are kind of miserable, I'm gonna get some good ones in the light tomorrow

If it were me i would leave it :sigh:

Its hard to tell from the pics with the mud on the lower rockers, but it might have a little rake, but still looks good IMO

I think your stancemeter may need reconfigured - sure the front fender sits lower than the rear, but the body line below the doors looks pretty even with the pavement to me.

I would imagine the rear fenders may be cut higher than the front even with the body level to allow for wheel travel under load. Leveling up the fenders might make that thing go nose up!

I'm definitely gonna retake pictures once I clean the truck up and its sunny tomorrow, here are a couple extra anyways.

edit: Ape0r I absolutely love the stance of my truck, it's really really close to perfect. There's just that tad bit of rake I guess I notice, but honestly I'm thinking it's just my eyes playing tricks on me. I guess taking the block out would really make it cali lean and definitely not improve it?

I like it!

I've got the 2" Skyjacker kit as well, but for some reason, mine sits a tad higher in the front. I'm thinking about adding about 1" of lift to the rear, because my headlights look like I'm ready to go coon huntin' when I put anything in the bed or pull a trailer.

I think you answered your own question! The truck looks great...leave it alone. :dunno:

Your truck looks perfect dude. I think it's just a combination of the rear wheel well arches, and the mud on your truck making it look like it has more rake than it really does. Also, in the pictures it looks like your truck is on an incline, or on uneven ground, and that could possibly make it look more than it is. A little rake doesn't hurt anyway. Just put a tape on it and leave it at that. My truck measures 39 1/4 in the front and 39 1/2 in the rear.

I updated the pictures after I washed the truck and let the sun come out, maybe you can see it a little better. Let me know what you think.

Maybe it's the grille guard that's causing it to sag a little in the front. Idk. I think it looks fine. I wish you'd have a picture from the side and not at an angle.. that'd help with us being able to see. But like I said it looks pretty level to me.

if you take the back down 1.25" then it will look level at the fenders but the lower body line under the doors will look lower in the rear. If you ever put anything over 100 pounds in the bed at that point you will be a lot lower in the rear.

I think it looks JUST RIGHT. Its a truck. When you put some weight in the back it'll be level!
