How Is Your Gmt900 Holding Up?

I had 08 SLE Yukon XL with all the options and 6.0 with 4.10 gears. Dealer removed the heated washers and gave me a check. Dealer replaced front cv seal at 12000 miles under warranty. No other issues. Great vehicle.

Knock on wood, mine has been fine. About 9k miles and no leaks and not loosing/using oil. 5.3 with afm and tow package with 3.42 gears. Only squeak is right above and behind my head in the headliner. I know it's not unique but haven't taken it in yet. Only does it when it's cold and it's not very loud.

My 09 LT has just about 16,000 miles on it in 2 1/2 years. It has all the power options on it, and I have had not much to complain about.

I did have a problem with the driveshaft knocking when I would come to a stop with the brakes on and then when I would release the brakes, I would feel like I was rear ended. Dealer fixed that under warranty with a new slip yoke.

Other than that, I don't like the way the truck idles. I can sit there and the truck is perfectly smooth, then all of a sudden it will shake and then get smooth again. Then it will do it again....on .....and on..... I asked the dealer about it and they said it was normal.

Yea............right......

They have been building small block V8's for how many years, and over a Millon of them and they can't get it to run smooth?

I will try to get them to look at it the next oil change which is due here shortly.

Other than that no problems. Runs great and I enjoy it.

As for your intermittant rough idle, mine does it too but not that often. I might notice it at a stop light once in a while, but I think it might just be the A/C comp. kicking in. Otherwise, I have no MAJOR complaints about the truck after 4 years, but many little ones. Mostly, I don't like the fact that I had to buy a tuner to get rid of the DoD cyclinder deactivation (AFM). The virtually non-existant mpg benefit from this feature is a burden on the consumers all for federal government CAFE standards to remedy a warming globe which would be doing so regardless of what we do....period.

That, and the cargo bed light. Please, please change to it's own switch!
