285/75/16 With 6'' Lift?

I have a 2001 Sierra ext. Cab with new 285/75/16 (33'' x 11'') tires and new rims, but would also like to install a 6'' lift. I've tried to find pics of the same truck with 33's and a 6'' lift but having trouble (most have 35's). Would this set up look good? Can anyone plz post some pics and give your opinion? I'm not going for a mudder look, more of just an aggressive stance/look. So basically I'm stuck with the tires I have, so my options are 6'' lift, 4'' lift, or no lift (boring).

Any input is greatly appreciated.

If 33's are all you're doing, I wouldn't go with more than 4" of lift. And I'm definitely not saying it will look good! IMO

Well I tried to post some pics of a 2002 and 2005 Silverado with 6" lift and 33" tires and a 2003 GMC 6"/33" but this board said I couldn't post dynamic pages, whatever that is.

But go to Truck Toyz

click on gallery and then Truck Toyz installs. It will open a new box and you can put in year, make, lift, tires and it will show you the pics. Hope that helps

I think it would look better with just a 4 inch lift. I plan on going with a 4 inch suspension lift for my truck one day and I have 33 inch tires.

There is a truck on that truck toyz site that has 33 inch tires with a 9 inch lift...now that looks a little retarded.

i say wait until you can afford everything you want. 33s will look crazy small with that much lift. i had stock 32s for a few weeks after i installed my body lift, which was only 3 inches, and even those looked tiny.

Thanks for the help (ha although I was hoping everyone would tell me it would look sweet with 33'' and 6'' lift). I found a few pics of an '02 chevy 1500 with 33'' tires and a 6'' lift. This truck and tires look very similar to what I have.

I think this looks great, any ideas? (if you can't see the pics i have the link too at the bottom)

Unless you're really thinking about it when you look at the truck, you can't really tell that the tires are too small. It's noticeable, but I don't lose sleep over it. I got new Xtreme Mud Terrains a little while back and stuck with 33's. Honestly, I wouldn't go with 35's simply because it will put a little extra strain on your truck and you'll probably lose a little more gas mileage, if that matters to you. Just my $.02.

In my opionion (from the pics I've seen), the early 2000 chev/gmc 1500s can pull off the 33's with 6'' lift, better than lots of other trucks. Considering it looks great, less strain on the truck, and you don't have to worry about tampering with gear ratios 33's and 6'' might be the way to go.

really thats 7 inches? interesting, this is mine on 34s with only 3 inches of lift:

it depends from truck to truck, even if theyre the same year it seems. i know on my truck 6 inches on 33s would look terrible on my. post some pics of yours.
