2004 Silverado Lt Heated Seat Issue

hello. i just got my self into a full size, i bought a 2004 silverado 2500hd. i have noticed that on both driverside and pass side heated seats are not working. when you hit the buttons, the lights come on quick and go off. Does this have anything to do with the temperature out side. Or is their a problem with the heating element?

Sounds like a short in one of the cushion elements.

has anyone had the same problem and fixed it. i have read all over the place, people haveing the same problem and no one has said if they had it fixed or not and wheat the problem was.
