50k Update

Well my primary truck, the 2008 Silverado CC 4x4 has 52,000 on her now.

Problems to Date:

OnStar Stopped working

Passenger Door Lock Actuator Broken

Other than that everything else seems fine so far, the factory Bridgestones look like they may go another 15 or 20K, the brakes are still looking good, ride and drive are the same as when I bought it 2 years ago. Unbelievable but true the G80 is still working. As far as oil consumption goes, she will drop about a quart by oil change time (7000 miles)

Accessories:

The Bushwacker OEM bed rail caps seem a little faded but overall I like them.

The front bumper overlay has been on for 2 years and still looks great, no issues there.

UWS High Security Low Profile Toolbox has had no issues to date and still looks like new.

Specs:

2008 Silverado K1500 4x4 CCSB

3.73 Gears, Z71 Package

5.3L Flex Fuel

Bridgestone Dueler AT's

I run Mobile 1 Synthetic Oil and a K&N Filter.

Glad to hear the good news at 50k miles!

For the bed rail caps, some Mother's Back-To-Black should make them look good as new.

Thanks, I will give that a try.

Good to hear, the breaks on my truck went out at 19K. Do you drive in alot of stop and go traffic? I just replaced my stock goodyears at 27K, they weren't bald but I don't think I could have gotten much more out of them.

Good news about the stock Bridgestones. I have them on my truck too. As for the G80, why are you surprised that it has not failed yet?

I have not had much success with them on other trucks, this truck has not been offroad, just a little snow which is why it has lasted this long, don't get me wrong, I like it when they work its just that the G80 is not very strong and is prone to breakage, but this is not a G80 Bashing thread, like I said so far so good.

Dude, glad to hear you hit 52K. I'm at 41K now on my 08 and she's still going strong.

If your passenger door actuator went out, the dealer will replace them under warranty. There was a recall on them last summer and I had to get both of mine replaced. They should fix them for you without incident. It takes a little while though. It took them a few days to fix mine, but they'll still do it. Check it out when you get a chance.
