6.2l With Resonator Cut Off (video Clips)

I have a 2010 Silverado with the 6.2L and was considering putting an aftermarket exhaust on it since I've done that with every truck I've owned. But thanks to a very knowledgeable member on here he convinced me to just cut of the resonator cause its louder and sounds great after cutting it off. After doing it I have to agree it sounds great! There is no need for an after market exhaust now. Or in my opinion there's not! Its loud but not to loud has a great tone to it and I don't half to deal with the drone...and most people think I have an aftermarket exhaust on it now. So after another member helped me with this I suggested it to anther member and made him a couple of video clips to help him in his decision and just in case someone else is thinking of doing it also this might help them. I done this with a low end sony camera so please believe me these videos don't do it justice but it will give you an idea. The first clip is a start up and where the truck is still in the garage you can hear some engine noise in the video...so sorry about that. The second is a clip of me pulling out and driving down the road to give an idea of what it sounds like in the truck. Hope this helps someone!

You need to add a tailpipe to it, IMO. Probably even sound smoother with a decent pipe after the muffler.

Thanks for the videos. I have been looking for an exhaust for some time. I have heard of guys using Aero 3535XL but still hard to find any shop that can work with anything over 3 inch. It does sound good. Would be cool to add a pipe out where the stock location is and see what the difference is. Definitely helped me out. Thanks......

I dont like the videos... the mics on these cameras favor treble and are horrible at capturing the deep end of the spectrum that makes exhaust sound good.

Outside the truck, these 6.2L's have an awesome tone with the resonators cut off

I agree with you matt the cameras don't do it justice! Especially my little sony its not very good at all! But I was asked to do the clips so I thought I would share them with eveyone that would like to see them since I had them. Especially the one from inside the truck to show what it sounds like in the cab and the LACK of drone from it. Thanks again for your help !

Just curious to see what you would suggest...where would you think it should exit at cause I've never really thought about it. From the factory it was straight out the back which I did not like. It to me just looked odd with one pipe coming out the back. This is the first I've ever had dumped over the rear axle where you can't see it. I actually kind of like that you can't see it but I'm always open to suggestions and Ideas!

I think you might have misunderstood me I was just asking your input on how you would do it....as if it was your truck. I like getting different ideas and opinions so that's why I asked. I greatly appreciate input from you guys!
