Gauge Cluster Question?

Hi guys will a 99 Denali Gauge Cluster work (plug and play) In my 99 OBS CCLB pictured in my Sig. I can get one very cheap. Please let me know as I am curious. I know the odometer won't be right but otherwise the gauges, tach, Speedo should work. Also will the trans temp guage work in the new cluster as I don't have one in mine. Any help appreciated.

You mean your GMT-400.

 

Yes, most of the gauges should work fine, but you'd need to add a sending unit for the trans temp gauge.

What sending unit would I need? Do you have a GM part number? The way I understand it the trans temp gauge in the cluster gets it signal from the PCM. Is that not correct? My truck stumps a few people being its a 99 with the old body style. Any info you have appreciated.
