New Radiator

I'm getting ready to replace my radiator. I was just wondering, while it's out, should I relace anything else? A lot of people told me in some of my older posts that I should switch to an electric fan. What about a flex-a-fan or something similar. Not wanting to spend a ton of money, yet.

Thanks all,

If you're talking bout' your 93 burb, then I would leave the fan in there alone. There would be virtually no point in changing to electric. But, if your hoses and other normal maintenance items are stock or old, then I'd change those out.

thanks Tyler,

Yes, I am talikng about the burb. That's what I was thinking of doing, but being a novice I figured I throw up a post and see if everyone told me to check/ or change something while i was changing it out.

If you are replacing the radiator, it is a good idea to replace the radiator hoses, thermostat, and water pump at the same time. If the vehicle still has the original fan clutch, I would replace that too. And of course, replace the engine coolant.

So if i'm going to replace the water pump I might as well replace the timing chain while its off. I was going to replace the thermo with a 180 degree one along with the hoses. Thanks for the input ya'll. :P
