I went to the mall today was inside for about 2 hours if that, came out to see that someone had hit the back of my truck and pushed the bumper down about 3 inches and didnt leave a note or any information at all. Im not really happy about that at all. So now Im just thinkin about pulling the bumper off and putting a roll pan on. Just really sucks

That does suck man, I did the exact same thing years ago with my S-10. Unfortunately the next time some ahole hit me in the parking lot the it did even more damage. So I got the tailgate fixed took off the roll pan and got another bumper and it was hit a couple more times, but it was only the bumper.

Im glad is isolated to the bumper only. Im just mad over that. Would of been even more if it was my tailgait and everything also.

Could be worse..... They could run off the road and take out a flower bed and fence.... hit a small Oak tree leave their DRIVERS LICENSE and then to your face say they did not hit your tree and have NOT BEEN on that road..

 

UH oops I forgot to tell ya your DON'T have your drivers licenses I DO... You dropped them, IN MY FLOWER BED.

 

OH yeah the prick was an auto insurance sales man...... I got revenge....... He paid... In court.. HEHEHE, and I got to watch him fix my fence and flower bed... :lol:

 

It took me 3 weeks to track him down. Mean time he had his car fixed... Which I had his head lamp, park lamp, and half his grill, and a HUGE chunk of his bumper...

I went in and checked and of course, the one side of the mall I park on, the Sears store does not have outside security cameras.

no security camera's or anything where you were parked?? that really sucks man, been there done that. stupid hit and runners....must not have had insurance or slash money.... :lol: pisses me off just hearing about it

What is wrong with people?? No respect! Some @$$ hit my wife's car right where the door meets the front fender. So when you opened the door it bent the fender. That's why I park away from anyone, or look for a corner parking spot and park wide giving the jerk next to me plenty of room to swing their doors open.

 

That dose suck.

sorry to hear that. two weeks after i bought my truck some dipshit hit it in a parking lot and drove off. put a nice dent in the side of the bed which i had to claim through insurance as a hit and run incident. people are just irresponsible. back when i was in college i backed into a car in a parking lot. even back then when i was irresponsible enough (and dumb enough) to get drunk and play with throwing knives, i was still courteous enough to leave a note. the older i get the more i lose faith in society.

Yeah, I know, some people! Some idiot ran into my rear bumper a couple years ago in the wal-mart parking lot and dented the side of it. It's still like that today. I was rear ended by a 2007 mustang GT almost a year ago now, and I still have the factory bumper. I would get a roll pan, I like how they look, but if someone hits you and you have a rollpan it's gonna screw up your bed and tailgate to. So I haven't got one and don't plan on getting one.

Been there...done that....Some retard hit my back bumber, put a small dimple in the drivers side, and bent it forward so its closer to the rear fender than the other side...not really noticable unless you look close, but I know its there, and it pisses me off!

      My brother has an Escalade. The warranty has expired so he told his wife to go to the Valvoline quick lube he uses some times. They told her if her car was a 2020 and newer 6.2 engine they wouldn’t touch it. Hers is a 2019, so they did the oil change.

      The oil filter has NOTHING To do with oil leak. GM sources parts from 1,000's of vendors and as with anything mass produced, flaws are unavoidable.    Putting a larger oil filter will do nothing but satisfy emotions. The OEM filter is designed for the engine and perfectly capable of handling the demands on the engine. Oversize oil filter could result in reduced flow and overall lower oil pressure.

That part is physics. It's what marketing and bean counters do with it that is snake oil and voodoo.    Stribeck is the relationship between Hersey and the Coefficient of Friction. Within the Hersey Equation if viscosity and viscosity is 'Dependent' on.......heat.......and.......viscosity index or the temperature to viscosity slope.    Specifically Hersey is the viscosity AT THE TEMPERATURE IN THAT LOCATION FOR THAT SLOPE.   Hydrodynamic lubrication exist when the film thickness in the location is 3X the Ra roughness of the surface. This is irrespective of the hardness of the substrate. To obtain that thickness X viscosity is required for Y velocity at Z load. That's a lot of moving parts. It is also impossible to maintain in an ICE but nearly possible with a turbine under constant load.    What does that mean? Error heavy and operate light. Wear is inevitable but the rate of wear and the milage obtainable are a function of prevailing conditions and HABITS. The only penalty is viscous drag and at fractions so low as to be well worth the effort. Double the life, half the manufacturing carbon foot print. Greed is the only impediment.    The materials generated by SwRI are the RESULT not an estimation or a hypothesis.    Don't delude yourself sir, EV's have as many pitfalls as ICE's.       You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.
