Blown Speaker?

I have Bose speakers in my 03 Silverado. There is a rattling noising coming from the driver's side door speaker area. The noise is more noticeable and seems to get louder as I turn up the volume. Does this mean my speaker is blown or is something else rattling inside the door?

It's possible something's rattling, but if you listen to the radio loud and they're stock, it's probably the paper cone speaker taking a shit on you.

Or your speaker could have also come loose. A quick way to check is to open your door, swing it back and forth, if you hear the noise then there you go.

There is no rattling in the door except when I have the radio on so either it is the speaker or the sound waves are making something vibrate (the speakers are stock).

If your truck has the seperate tweeter and woofer in the door panel check the tweeter mounting tabs they all break over time and the tweeter just kinda hangs there and the woofer is making it vibrate.

I think my tweeters are in the A-pillars. I believe I have only one speaker in each door.
