I use ACDelco pads and rotors. However, I currently have Carquest Premium rotors on the rear and they are doing great. Why not keep it OEM stopping power? Go with ACDelco. But use their OEM line, not the Durastop. Those OEM ACDelco pads last forever.

My choice is.... NAPA Ultra Premium Rotors and NAPA Ultra Premium Ceramic (UP-_ _ _ _-X) or Metallic Pads (UP- _ _ _ _-M)

If they are not readily available my second choice is OE. Genuine GM.

I have installed A LOT OF BRAKES....... No mystery gooo required.... Just brake grease for the slides and shims.

what about the adaptive one pads? also there are two part numbers for the UP pads, UP7997X and UP8312X there is a $30 difference but no difference in the description.

I have installed a several sets of ADO's. Without problems, but by far my choice is the UP- _ _ _ _ - X. THEY ARE QUITE, and have a long service life.

So,

2007 Classic uses on the front, UP-7997-X (Hybrid's use UP-7653-X), for ADO's drop the UP and the X and add AD to the beginning. On the rear, UP-8312-X (Hybrids use UP-7662-X). Trucks with four wheel disc brakes also use UP-10781-PB, with Disc/Drum the rear brakes are UP-10855 (or TS-10855, UP shoes are the premium ones, TS is the second grade shoe in this application).

Depending on the online service NAPA has, I WANT MY CATALOG to be sure. But it looks like in 2007 GMT900's could use the 7997 in the front and 8312 in the rear.

Then in 2008, 8472 in the front and 8312 in the rear or shoes UP-10855 or (park brakes UP-10781-PB, if it has four wheel disc)

Hope this helps.

thank you very much! i just hope they work out well. cause they are fairly expensive compared to other aftermaket parts but i will take your (and many other forum memebers) word on it.

I drive on a rural mail route, 128 miles per day, 300 stops per day. I have tried the most expensive pads and rotors. I have tried the cheapest pads and rotors. I don't waste money on the most advertised brands. I just buy mid priced brands. Don't care if Napa, Oreilly, A Zone or what. Route is 100 miles of dirt(mud) sand, gravel. 28 miles paved.
