77 Gmc Wipers Park In Wrong Position

'77 GMC classic "cruiser" 1/2T short-box with 3" all points suspension drop.

 

Wipers work perfect while running. Sweep pattern as it should be.

BUT when turned off, they park half-way between the cowl edge and straight-up 12:00 position.

 

What do I need to do to fix the park position so it is correct?

what you need to do is go out there and there should be a tab that holds the whole wiper arm to the part that pivots. pull the tab (it will be hard use a butter knife or flathead) pull the arm off and just sit it how you want it to be at rest, then put arm back on and push tab in. i had a 69 pick up that i did this on.
