I just wonder why they went with a slit in the chrome bumper lip. It used to be solid. Thank you to the member for this pic

Mostly for it to look like it takes in air there to help cool it. But, in reality, I don't think it's functional. It's on all 09 10 trucks and only on 07 08 trucks with HD trailer package.

IDK mine has a rubber flap behind the hole thats sloped upward to shoot air up towards the raidiator.

I didn't say it had no functionality, it's just mostly there for looks.

i like the slit, it seperates the front end a lil bit. the chrome bumper and grille can be a lil much.

They didn't start putting the hole in the bumper until 08 or 09 I can't remember which year.

The slit looks better IMO. More HD looking.
