And All This Time

Well, Thursday night wasn't so pleasant for me. Around 10:30 I started having severe chest and rib pains. I literally thought I was having a heart-attack (I know I know, I'm too young to probably have a heart-attack). But anyway, I decided that I need to go to the emergency room around 11:30. When I got up to go I couldn't stand up straight, I could hardly breathe and it felt like someone was stabbing me in the ribs over and over again. Well I finally get to the hospital and they said that I now have costochondritis. Pretty much the cartilage that connect my ribs to my sternum are actually inflamed causing me to have severe chest and rib pains. I've had it since about May, but I always thought it was indigestion. Now I am unable to do simple tasks, like picking clothes up off the floor, jogging, I can barely walk down stairs and even stand up for a long period of time. This sucks!

They say the only way to treat it is by taking an anti-inflammatory. It could take up to 3 months to fully heal.

Haha, I assure you that I will not do that! What really sucks about this whole thing is that I'm playing college baseball! The last two years have been nothing but hell for me. I threw my arm out last year, and now I have this! When it rains it pours.

That sucks but now you have a reason to use the GM handicap accessability rebates!!!! Might be able to get a lift installed for the drivers seat :)

Take care

Sorry to hear that. At least you know Matt will be there to respond to all of your posts.

At 30 years old i had a massive heart attack and they cracked me open in a hurry and destroyed my cartilage leaving me with that for life but the fix is to see a pian management doctor and have steriod injections in the rib joints it will solve the pain issue for around 6 months and also the inflamation. And its not a painful procedure, And it will come back when it wants to once you have it dont let anyone tell you different.
