Looking For New Wheel Suggestion! Help!

Well is time for new tires, so at the time I might as well go with some new wheels as well. I currently have 20" KMC rockstars, and well, so does everyone else. The wheels are old and beat now and finish is worn, as i have had them since i bought the truck new in Feb of '08.

 

 

SOOOO my question is what wheels would YOU put on my truck. You can see pictures of it in gallery. They have to be black wheels. I kinda like the jesters, but people a few folks on this board are already running them.

My requirements are a black wheel, with spokes that extend out to the edge (makes the wheel look bigger). Both rockstars and those jesters have that feature. Oh and they gotta be 20's and look good with my lifted truck and some brand new 35" trail grapplers.

Have you looked at DC's Torque? Slick looking wheel. Kind of like the Jester but no one here is running them yet that I have seen.

And they have them with the polished lip similar to the torques.

I was going to recommend the SOTA's, they look amazing on lifted trucks. But they don't have spokes that extend outwards...If you want them to look bigger, get the 22s

Damn ya those SOTAs look pretty tough in glass black. I dunno about the outward spoke idea. i like the way they make the wheels look but I'm finding so many wheels that i like that are dished. (like the sotas).

 

Jimmyboy i was looking at those addicts, its really the only XD wheels i like, besides the rockstars, but well those are just so beat now i gotta make a change. Your right the black and machined look best, but all black are too simple, BUT i dunno how that much silver would look on my grey truck.

That thread shows the SOTAs on a chevy. damn they are lookin pretty tough. I thought they looked kinda smallish in the first pic but the latter pics show they look real good.

i think i like the all black rockwells. I like the sotas ALOT but i dont think i like the dishes. I just talked to my boy he can get the black rhinos too so that helps the cause.

They do look really good. I dunno though I'm kinda pissed about these XD rockstars. All the finish and chrome came off of them before they were 2 years old. I knew another dude that had that happen with his Dick Cepeks. Prolly gonna happen to all of them i guess who knows.

They look ok but the addicts do look better. Its just the rockstars lines match the boxiness of the silverado so good that its almost like they were made for htem. Pisses me off that all these trucks like tundra and fords and worst yet DODGEs are running them with their curvy looking trucks. They played em out so much for everyone. They should be limited to silverados and titans. Its the only trucks they look good on

those are nice, new style, and VERY VERY rare. if you buy your wheels from 4wheelparts.com you can warrenty your wheels for ANYTHING for $25 a wheel. that means you could have had BRAND NEW r-stars for just the price of shipping.

oh yah? it seems like the way to go because last winter just KILLED my wheels. Never had the opportunity to clean them because it snowed atleat an inch or two everday, on top of all those big storms.

 

 

Now im in the situation where I could use new tires for winter (the ol procomp xtremes a/ts still got a good bit of tread though) but the thing is ill be putting new wheels and tires on just in time to let them get effed up from the snow and salt. I could just keep the rockstars and use em as winter wheels that would be pretty ridic though buyin two sets of 35x20s and a set of wheels all at once.

i was thinkin about runnin 2 sets but with 35's it gets $$ especially with the TPMS. i would look in the 4wp's warrenty. i've already had to replace my entire set of Spy's once already due to the finish corroding. i just warrenty'd the new wheels and it's a lifetime warrenty.
