2010 Tow Mirror Replacement Mirror Glass Only

So I discovered that my truck barely fits in to my garage, and broke the mirror glass on my drivers side tow mirror, 2010 Sierra.

Barely touched the garage door frame, as I was backing in turned the wheel a bit and touched the gas, and pop.

Does anyone know if just the mirror glass is available and what the part numbers are ( both on the drivers side).

I've pulled the mirror glass out already, it's like a 1 minute job to remove and replace, but something tells me I'm going to have to replace the whole mirror.

Any help appreciated, I will try the dealer Monday but would like to know my options before I order it.

Thanks

What is it with breaking mirrors lately? I broke the passenger mirror (power/heated, non-tow mirror) on my 2010 earlier last weekend. I found 2 mirrors on Ebay for $80 (most wanted more than that for 1 mirror). I bought them, received them Saturday, and went to put them on yesterday. Wouldn't you know it, the housing of the passenger side mirror that I bought was broken in shipment. I was just about to make a similar post to see if there was anyway to salvage the power mirror actuator from the mirror that I bought and put it in the mirror housing that I have on my truck now.

Yes,You can just get the glass w/backing plate.

The upper one (heated w/turn-signal) is part#15933017

The lower one is part#19120897

I wonder how much these are. I might need a lower one.

I also wonder how hard it is to replace them.

Thanks Dale, I appreciate it.

The top one is pretty easy to replace, it just slide up about 1/4 inch and then pops out, it is just really hanging on 4 tabs.

what about the lower one?

The lower mirror glass is held on to the plastic backing with 2 sided tape. The backing is held to the round pivot point with a single screw. The only way to get at the screw is to remove the glass from it's frame. Mine was cracked so I just broke a piec of the glass away to get at the screw. See attached picture. The screw is in the center of the lower mirror.

The top Mirror just lifts up.

When you buy the replacement glass it comes with a tool (plastic lever) that you use to pop the mirror up and off it's tabs.

Good luck

I know this thread is old, but just wanted to say thanks for the info on this to those who replied. I bought a pair of mirrors with a broken glass and was able to repair it with the help of this thread:shake:
