Need Help Choosing New Tires!

Hey guys, I have a 2004 Crew Cab Silverado (black) Z71 with 265/70/17 stock tires. I am going to replace them and I have narrowed my search down to basically 3 tires. I would like to have a nice beefy look but also good snow performance. Which one of these tires would look/perform best on my truck?

Nitto Terra Grappler

General Tire Grabber AT2

Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10

I can get a set of 4 brand new of each tire for less than $600 shipped. The Grabber AT2's are cheapest, then the Hankook and Grapplers are about the same price. I like the way the Grabbers look over the other two, and I also heard they perform great in snow, but I just don't know about General Tire brand. I know people love the NTG's but I also hear they wear quickly and aren't so great in snow. I heard the Hankooks are great in snow and are solid overall, but I am not sure if they look aggressive enough for my taste.

Any pics of these tires in 265/70/17 would be awesome!

Look into the Trail Grapplers. a bit more aggressive tread design thanthe terra but looks and handles awsome. If I had to do it all over again I would stick with the Trail Grappler

Any pics of these tires in 265/70/17 would be awesome!

I pulled the trigger on the Grabber AT2's. Those Trail Grappler's look awesome, but they are more of a mud tire, and I live in Wisconsin so I need good snow performance. (Although I am sure they are decent in snow.) Also, they look like they are a bit more expensive and probably out of my price range. I think I will like the Grabber AT2's. I have read good reviews and people say they do well in snow. They also have that aggressive look that I am after!

I have the Hankooks, and I love them. Got about 15,000 on them now, and they still look new. If you look a the TG's and 'Kooks the tread design is more agressive on the Hankooks. I can't blame you for wanting to get the Grabber 2's either.... Read plenty of good things about them. I can vouch personally that the Hankooks are good in just about any condition. Other tires can probably beat them in a single catergory, but these tires seem to do absolutely everything to my liking, and thats what I wanted from an all-terrain tire.

These are the exact 3 tires I was looking at when I was buying tires last November; Good Choices, all of them.

I'd go with the AT2s. I just put a set on my wife's Jeep and they're awesome.

Not going to lie.... I wish I spent the extra $200 and put them on my truck too instead of the coopers. They will be the next tire for my truck (LOL that'll be a while though)

I was just looking at the exact same tires, the trail grapplers as well. The Generals, in the size I wanted, were on national back order until December, so I ended up going with the Hankooks. I like them so far. They seem to be a good all-terrain tire and they are very quite on the road.

Same thing for me last November, the AT2's were on backorder all across the states, and the Terra Grappler's just didn't have an aggressive enough profile for me... SO I bought the Hankooks b/c they looked awesome, and all of the reviews seemed to be good. I am glad it worked out the way it did, I really like these tires.

terra sucks good for nothing really unless you dont go off road

general grabber a/t 2 is the same tread pattern as the BF Goodrich A/T they have been around since before i was born i would go with a more updated style.

And the hankook..well they will last forever im sure of it, and they look like your average tire, so if ur not going for aesthetics its a great tire, if you are going for aesthetics its a loser.

This new grabber (not at2) is a sweet looking tire, supposedly designed for street use and loose terrain like sandy stuff, but it looks good.

The AT2 is not the same tread as the BFG, there are significant differences.

The closest comparable tread pattern to the AT2 is the Pro Comp ATs

They are only a 50k tire (they are not forever rated), and they don't look like a loser in the aesthetics dept, or an average tire to me.....

I am just sayin' brah....

they definitely have a better looking sidewall than most AT tires on the market. Tread looks about standard.... you're really not going to get a huge variation in tread "coolness " factors unless you get a specialty tire like the ATZ,FC-II,Xtreme AT, etc.

I ordered the AT2's through walmart.com with free site to store shipping for $130/tire. (265-70-17)

I am happy with the decision because it ended up being so cheap, and walmart will call when they are in and mount them for me. According to the tracking info they should be arriving today, so I am hoping to have them mounted today! If I can I will take some pics and post them in here so you guys can check em out.

By the way...my truck is black with a blacked out Chevy emblem on the front and I think it would look sweet to have black rims as well. I can't afford to buy new rims though, so I was thinking maybe I could paint my stock rims. I am not sure though...I don't know how that would turn out or how much work it would be. The stock rims are actually pretty cool, in fact I have gotten a few compliments on my rims in recent months.
