Rear End Noise

2010 silverado z71 4x4 7500miles

 

During low speed turns on uneven ground, I am getting a clunk/pop noise from the rear of the truck. I know there are some tsb's for rear end noises, but mine is more of a thump sound that occurs more on left turns (does it n rigt turns just not as much)

 

I will book an apt with service, however, i would like to be educated before I make the 25 min drive to the closest dealer thx

I had that once in a while too on my 07, but never found out what it was. It didn't always do it so I didn't think it warranted a trip to the dealership. I'm gonna place a bet that the dealership says they can't reproduce the noise and it will be a worthless trip, but thats just a guess.

 

Maybe while it's there, you can ask them to install the leaf insulators to help keep down on the noise.

if i bounce up and down on the truck i can not get it to make noise
