2004 GMC Envoy XUV

My Dad (GMC Truck Dealer) and I had lunch today, and he is concerned that there won't be a good market for the new GMC ENVOY XUV. This sport utility / truck crossover is kinda of a smaller twist on the Avalanche and Escalade versions.  If you had the money, would you buy one?? Do you think it will sell just because of the novelty of a rear sliding roof? I love my new Envoy SLE, but I don't think I would ever purchase the XUV. What do you think??

Not sure if I'd spend the money on an XL verion that doesn't offer passenger seating in the rear but it does have some neat features.

 

I wish the rear windows of the triplets opened as does the XUV and the current 4-Runners. At least if not both that and the side windows in the rear...as many mini vans and some SUV's do. That would reduce the helecopter effect and really help the flow of air.

 

I also like the dual function tailgate.

well I don't think I would want one cause I need a fullsize to pull my gooseneck and camper but the folks that are buying the Ford Sport trac and the jap crewcabs would probably give it a look.
