Mass Air Flow sensor

I installed a K$N air filter last week and It was dripping with oil.(like all the others I ever owned)I'm worried about the MAF sensor getting Gummed up,I don't need that right now.Is there something I can spray on it?(the sensor it self)

I would imagine you could take it out and spray it w/ some carb cleaner or something to that extent, but just take the screen off and clean that only, if you mess w/ the two probes that hang in it you can mess it up, then it's about 300 bucks for a new one.

I Descreened the thing last year,I was worried about the probes getting dirty from the filter oil,and making it run rough,or damaging the MAF,Thanks for the reply.steve
