Hey guys!!

i have recently developed a squeak in the front end of my truck!!and it is only on the drivers side! it's driving me nuts.

it sounds like a dry bushing?

i've grease the tie-rod ends, and sprayed some lube on all the bushing to try and get some lube in them. still have the squeak.

it even happens with the slightest suspension compression, i can make it happen bouncing on the step.

has anyone come across a squeak like this???

Pick up one of these for about $20 at an autoparts store and have a buddy bounce on the step while you locate the origin of the noise:

I had a squeak also, the smallest movement in the front end you could hear it, turned out to be a control arm bushing. Happened after I got my alignment after installing the leveling kit, sprayed it down with fluid film and never a sound since.

well i sprayed the upper control arm bushings with fluid film last night and i drove to work this morning, running a little behind i didn't bother checking for the squeak.

after work i checked for the squeak, and it was gone!! but it came back tonight!!

would the little bit of heat change make that much of a difference on the bushings expanding???

it's been around 32 degrees and more like 60 degrees during the afternoon.

this just may be the reason i need to go buy some uni-balls......

Uni-balls I think start to squeak when they get dirty. They are open to all the elements. Look into the Moog UCA, I just installed them and they are much bigger than the factory ball joints.
