Driver Side Front Wobble

Lately ive been feeling this strange wobble kind of like a bounce in the front end. it happend even if the truck is on the flattest of roats (no bumps or pot holes) or even newly paved Flat as flat can be roats. could i have a bubble in my tire or somthing? this problem happend before i replaced the shocks and it still does it with the new shocks so i ruled that out as an issue? could it maybe be my control arms or other lose front end parts???

thanks,

Sounds like ball joints need replacing. Have you tried putting ur truck on a lift or jacks and moving the tire in an up and down motion. If it has play and moves, i bet you need ball joints.

Something is loose or worn out or you have a damaged tire or wheel.

could it just be rusted out causing somthing to rub maybe?

I had this too and thought it was something in the front end. Checked wheel bearings/ball joints etc. and it ended up being the steering shaft that was bad. I put a new one in and it's like a brand new truck.

thanks! just took the tire off and put it back on making sure each lug was torqued equally and tightly yet the problem is still there? what went wrong with your steering shaft? and what else might it be?

Did you check the wheel bearing and ball joints while you were there?

oupsies.... well i did spin the tire a few times when it was off the ground and it did make a little bit of a scrape sound as it rotated so could that just be the brakes or is that most likely the bearing?

One way to check the bearing while the tire is off the ground, is to grab the tire at 12 and 6 positions and try to rock it.

ohh in that case i tried that and their was no movement? could it be the scrape sound as i am rotating the tire though? also could it just be like a bubble in my tire thats causing the jiggle/vibration
