If it was me she would have two .45 ACP rounds in her skull.  I have no mercy for a$$holes who hurt children, they deserve death in my eyes.  Now that I think about it, two rounds in the head is too nice of a death... :angry:

Not a whole lot you can really say about this subject.  I'm pretty sure we all feel the same way about people who beat their kids the way this woman did.  Don't see how in the #### she can plead innocent, but we are talking about someone stupid enough to beat her kid...

It's actually just a formality with her lawyer.  Eventually she'll plead guilty, but they're simply trying to reduce the punishment by "Making" a deal with the D.A..

 

I think she should have her nipples sawed off with fishing string.

Normally, I believe parents have a right to discipline their children how they see fit.  I believe 90% of society's problems are due to "time-out's" replacing spankings.  I had my butt tore up on more than one occassion and I turned out pretty good (Mr. Modesty) or at least that's what most people say.  I would guess that most of us here had similar discipline in our childhood.

 

The problem is with trashy/ignorant people.  Because of this type of ignorant CRAP psycologist will push for even more laws regarding child abuse.  We have laws in place (too many/redundant if ya ask me) to handle/punish this type of action.  Let's enforce them!

 

The video shows though...no leaniency should be shown to this woman.  The sad part is...this kid was probably used to this type of abuse.

Didn't she make some lame excuse like, I was having a bad day!  COME ON LADY join the rest of humanity - we all have bad days and don't go home and beat our kids like that!!

 

She should never see her children again, and be behind bars for the rest of her life, but as CMNT so nicely said, the law will find a way to get her 6 mos, or less time, and she'll be back at it again.

I agree w/ you, I mean, kids need to get spanked every now and again.  But, what she did was way across the line.  We're talking about a child who is basically defenseless.  I know that if I had just gotten pommelled like that I'd be sore and I'm about twice that ladies size.

 

I think she should see a mandatory prison sentence, loose her child, and definetly go through some type of program about child abuse.  

 

I kept hearing that the lady could get off because the video doesn't actually showing her connect w/ the kid.  That's B.S. I mean, I could see her hitting the kid, and honestly they should be able to see bruises all over the kids body.  But, hopefully she'll get locked up and see a lil' abuse herself in prison.

I heard some news from someone at work.  (This is second hand, I cannot vouch for the validity.  I am curious myself.)

 

The child was taken to the hospital directly afterwards.  No internal injuries, no bruises.

 

The way she was swinging, you would think the child would be black and blue!  Especially as easy as kids bruise.

####, I probably needed more butt-bustings than I got! & like you said, the kid was probably used to this kind of abuse... As are countless others. Too bad nothing good is gonna come outta this... Shell pay some fines and maybe do a few months in jail, then get a pat on the hand and be informed not to do it anymore.... We wont hear anything else about it after this week...

I'm all for a good butt warming too.  I got many myself (surprise, surprise, right?).  I even at one point, was a connisouer (sp?) of soap.  This was long before they were all in a liquid pump.  I'm talking bars of Coast, Dial, Irish Spring, etc, etc.  It got to a point where soap was pointless form of punishment as I was immune to it.  I'd even start eating potato chips after a fresh bar.

 

Anyway, this was far past that line.  She should be punished harshly, but no new laws that these liberal jagwood's will surely try to pass are needed.  This past weekend, the G/F's Goddaughter was brought by to visit (since they live downstate).  Anyway, this little brat (which is what I think she is) found my G/F's collector Dale Earnhardt car in it's box and tore it apart when they weren't paying attention.  She got a friggin "time out."  Later she found a closed door at the G/F's condo which she has a latch on, and she busted that open.  Another "time out" was issued.  This is soo friggin stupid!  If that were my kid, it's rear end would have been nicely warmed and I gaurantee, she wouldn't be the brat she is now because of "time outs".  :angry:

 

Good old fashioned discipline needs to be administered when it warrants.    :thumb:

I'm just really upset with how the media has handled it.  I personally believe she hit her child.  Looking at it from a innocent before guilty way though, their could have been a wasp trying to sting her kid and she might have tried to swat it away.  I really don't care for how the media potrays most everything on the TV.

CMNT you talking about the soap reminds me of my daughter, the soap in the mouth works for her.  But when she was 4 or 5 if she was near the point of getting her mouth washed out she would run to the bathroom and see what soap was there.  My wife who travels quite a bit always brings home the little soap from hotels and if it was in the soap dish my daughter would shut up and wait until we had some other soap out to smart off.  She said it was the only soap she did not like!!!
