Pocket Flares

Im contemplating pocket flares.

My truck is new and with the lift and tires im starting to see a some paint chips.

Because I have a GMC the only flares are the "Boss" type. Im on the fence with the new style. I like the ones Brad has with the bolts on them... there not available for the GMC.

Does anyone have these new flares or even seen them? Dont want to dish out $400 for them if I dont like them

Consider mud flaps?

 

Only reason i say that is because i was amazed and how much damage the flares caused to the paint of Umbertos truck. It's not an issue if you aren't planning on taking them off, but the little bit of dirt that gets behind the edge of the flare grinds into the clear coat from the vibrations and its really noticeable on black trucks.

 

So if you did put them on, just consider that you'll likely need some touch up work done to the paint if you decide to take them off for some reason.

Plus they fit the contours of the GMC fenders nicer than on the Bowtie.
