mkcom1 Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Okay with a code for a bad knock sensor and armed with the info on this site I ordered all the parts and replaced two sensors, wiring harness etc. All seems to be good and the truck is up and running but I still have a light. I dropped power while doing the job and thought that would reset the computor. I know that it can take time to remove error codes but does anyone know how long? Rear sensor was really bad, front was like new. hope this helps my gas mileage and smoothes out the idle. 05 6.0l silverado 1500hd crew. Thanks and this is a great site. Doing it myself I guess I saved about 4 large and that intake sure is lite. Ken
[email protected] Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Go to the place where you bought the sensors from and tell em' to reset your obd-II system. If the light comes back it's still broken, if it stays off, you're good.
txab Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I believe the term "large" refers to $1,000 not $100.
