Nht Package Questions

Im looking at a 2010 extended cab 4x4 with the NHT package, can anyone tell me what that package includes besides the 6.2L and bigger rear axle. Is the hybrid 9.5" axle the same as the old 14 bolt semi-floating axle gm used to have. And can anyone tell me if the 6.2L has active fuel mgt. because according to gmc.com the extended cab models do but the crew cab models do not, doesn't make any sense to me. Thanks

6.2L in the pickups do not have afm, only the SUV's do.

 

Also the NHT has different leaf springs

I believe the axle is the same 14-bolt, I looked up the Fel-Pro cover gasket and it showed 1981-2011 applications. You also get rear disc brakes.

The non-NHT trucks also have rear discs. Rear discs come with any 6.2 trucks

Yeah thats what I meant. Some of the info from GM makes it sound like the 9.5" axle w/ rear disc only comes with the NHT package.

Cooling fan motors are also different on NHT trucks.

Yep,They have an increased capacity.

Where you at in south jersey? I know a dealer that's about to put a nice 6.2L equipped Denali on the lot.... might be able to save a few bucks; its only got 25,000 miles on it and the previous owner was anal about maintenance. Also has some sick wheels :uhoh:

I dont think the dealer even knew it had a body lift :D
