Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone had a pic of a black GMT900 with Fuel Octane wheels.

Also what size tire should i go with. its a 20x9 rim, would 275/55/20 fit? or should i go with a 275/50/20. I do not have a lift kit, but might possibly get a level in the future.

Thanks

The offset of the new wheel plays a big role in how much tire you can run. If you are considering a leveling kit in the future, I would definitely do that before you spent the money on new tires. Level kit will allow you to run a little larger without rubbing issues.

275 55 would be fine even with a high/low back spacing. These trucks seem to have more issues with the width of the tire due to the narrow wheel well up front. I have a level kit and can run a 275/65 no problem.... Just not much option for tires so i went with 275/60.

IMO i would not run the 275/50 as its not even 31 inches high. Especially if you plan to level or lift in the future. Its an odd size and would be expensive. Cheapest i found for a descent tire was 200 for Cooper Zeon LTZ's. In a 275/55 (since its a factory size) you can get tires from 80 bucks to 500 but you can get some descent tires for 160 to 200 and have options from what i quickly looked up.

Right now you can get the Rough Country kit for about 80$ shipped to you. Its easy to put on and you can run a 275/60 and it would look real good. Thats a 33 x 11 tire. Any bigger and you would have to run a 4" or 6 " lift. So its a common setup and relativley inexpensive.

If your rims have a 5" or better backspacing You could run them with the 275/60 no problem from what i have been told and have read in threads here.

Good Luck.

Post pics after you decide and get it together.
