Audio Questionson 2010 Ltz

I'm looking to install a CB radio and a couple of JL Ausio 10" subs in my truck. Its a 2010 Ext Cab LTZ.

Havent decided on a box or Amp yet but they are both goin under the back seats(nothing huge, just a little more bass, will be replacing all the door speakers with Boston Acoustics later on down the road as well). But how do I go about tieing them into the stock radio to keep my Bluetooth and Ipod connection? Since I have the Bose Radio, do I need to order some kind of special module from them?

Also, Is there any way to also tie in a CB radio, or do I just have to install a separate speaker? What is a decent CB radio, and how would I go about mounting in the truck so that it doesnt just look like some "jerry" rigged pos? I saw a few Ideas on here that had special CB radio center consoles, but I dont like the idea of cutting up my center console. Also, what kind of antenna do you all recommend, and how to mount it?

Thanks

For a CB, look at the Cobra 75 WX ST40 radio.

It's a hand-held with everything in the handset. It includes 10 weather channels. I have had mine for about 8 years now and it work fine. I use the power port in the console box of my Silverado to power the radio.

This radio is very simple to mount as the power and antenna connections is a small box about 1.5"x1.5" x 3". The box has a long power lead and the radio and antenna attach to the box. The radio can be removed for security or even transferred to another vehicle that has another power box. The box also has a mini-jack connection for an external speaker. Radio Shack has some nice external speakers that are powered and can be mounted out of the way and still provide very good sound quality. I think that would be the best way to go rather than trying to tie in a CB to a sound system.

you could look on ebay for a multi purpose antenna that would include the cb then swop out the factory antenna

Those types of antennas don't perform very well. Even with windings to provide reception for the wave length, something will have to be compromised. In this case, it would be poor CB reception at the expense of FM radio reception. The other problem would be the antenna cable itself. FM and CB antenna cables are electrically different and the CB cable length needs to be longer.

I have yet to see a decent CB antenna mount for the GMT900 trucks. I had a fender mount setup (driver's side front fender) on my old 99 Silverado and there were a number of good mounts available for those trucks. There is a mount designed to use one for the stake holes in the bed, but if you have a canopy shell or a tonneau that covers the hole, it's not a solution.
