Cab Clearance Lights

Does anyone know if the wiring is installed for cab clearance lights for a 2007 GMT900 that was not equipped with the lights? I have the switch and wiring for the roof light that comes with the snow plow package, but my truck was not equipped with clearance lights and I would like to add them.

Wiring is probably not there. Just added cab lights on my 04. The wiring harness for it would have gone down the passenger side A-pillar and hooked into the passenger side instrument panel connector block. I ran a power from the connector and a ground there up to the overhead console and before I installed my cab lights I added enough wire to the connectors to get to the overhead console. Made it a lot easier to make the connections. Still had to drop the liner just a little to fish the wires through.

I know "recon lights" sell a complete wiring harness that is suppose to be plug and play for installing their lights for your make of truck.

Based on my limited but first hand experience, the light switch that came w/ the snow plow package is for the instalation of a rotary becan. If you have no plans to install one, then what I did was use that switch and wire ( which in my case was already up inside the roof) to power the after market clearence lights. The clearence lights come on and off with headlights, if the becan switch is also on.

Thanks - this is exactly what I wanted to do. Now I have to wait to see if Santa brings me some fancy Recon lights for Christmas this year! :)
