Ha Ha Love The 4wd!

Finally got our first substantial snow fall this year, a whoppin 4" or so and had to take the truck out for a beat run. Love the AWD and the Cooper Zeon's, they eat up the slippery stuff. Supposed to get another 5" - 10" on Sat!!!! Need a snowmobile instead of a 2wd Raptor ATV!!

Who was the engineering genius that decided once upon a time all 4 wheels should spin on a vehicle? Someone get that man a beer!

Happy 4wd GM Holidays!

Gotta love it. 4WDs saved my bacon more than a few times

Man, if you like the 4WD on the Sierra, you would love it on the H3. I had a 2007 Hummer H3 before my 2009 Sierra and the H3 made my Sierra look like crap. The H3 is so nimble in the snow that it just ruins every other vehicle that I have driven.

agreed, even on ice ive hammered the gas and she just seems to bite and go. my 90 z71 was great in the snow too, i buried that thing in the deep stuff a few times and had no issues with it getting through. whats more impressive is the locker in the snow in 2wd. i keep parking in snow in my side yard cause im messed like that, and a few times now wwhile backing out i feel the truck loose traction, then the locker engaes and she just bites hard and goes with lots of grip. im, a little disapointed it hasnt snowed in a week here, lol

That stupid traction control takes all the fun outa winter though even with it turned off

how does it with the trac turned off? turn off the stability control and stay away from the curbs and the ditch!!

I had a 90 s-10 blazer that was a beast. I loved pulling the lever and having instant 4wd.

Well cuz, even with the tc off it still cuts power away from my truck anyway maybe mines just special in a stupid kinda way

even 2wd GMTs are nimble in the snow....its insane what it takes to stop them, i'm well convinced the batmobile is really a gm truck

I dunno man. A newer body style (96/97/98 etc) S10 Blazer with 4x4 and a decent AT or Michelin LTX's is my FAVORITE vehicle in the snow to date, hands down. Absolutely incredible in the snow. With the exception of the ABS. Dunno why, but GM had ABS problems on those. Like they set the pulse too high. If you had to get on the brakes in the snow in a GM vehicle (I know for sure Camaro's, Blazers, and Buick's were like this) around that year, it was pretty much guaranteed it wouldn't stop at all. It would pulse so much that it just keep going like you weren't touching the brakes.

But, if you kept the ABS from activating, those blazers were simply MAGIC in the snow. You name it and i've probably driven it. My Wrangler Rubicon with Grabber AT2's couldn't hold a candle to our Blazer's with LTX's.

Amen. 400 miles away, middle of no where, in the mountains, and freak snow storms over night. Not a good day if you don't have 4wd. Happened to us a few times. Wake up with over a foot on the ground. Shoot, even in summer in sloppy ground on the farm that you don't expect to be really that nasty. 4wd has certainly saved my butt a time or two.

yup the michelin ltx ms, one of the best street tires ive used, i had them on my old z71 and my explorer, ive had both buried to the doors in mud and snow and have always been able to get myself out of whatever i got into. they last forever, the ones on my z71 had 110 000 km on them and looked brand new, my explorers had almost 50 000 and looked brand new and are fantastic in the snow and mud. theyre just expensive thats their down fall
