Buried The Truck Today...

Well long story short we have been getting hammered with lake effect and 30mph+ winds since yesterday afternoon. I attempted to go check on my house, still remodeling, from my parents and made it about a mile. I will say the truck went through some stuff I never expected, but old man winter got me.

 

I took this picture half way through digging her out. You can see it was 3 to 4 feet deep around the truck. What got me was the truck rode up on the skid plates and lifted the tires off the ground. Got it out myself, but it took me over two hours.

 

My pride is very hurt, serves me right I guess. I will say I am impressed at how it handles snow. Made it through a hell of a lot before I stuck it.

winter isen't being very kind this year, we got hammered with 2 feet of snow and 30 mph winds over the weekend and now its -8 outside with similiar bitter cold temps all week...i'm moving to narnia forget this

Our first storm we got about 3 FEET , just about 2 weeks ago..

 

Now today its snowing again, 11 degrees now, and more snow to come! Hopefully that damn lake freezes over soon.. if now lake effect will be an everyday word!

That doesn't always work. I remember one year when we got about a inch of sleet then about 13" of snow on top of it. I hammered the gas and still couldn't make it out of the driveway. My driveway has a incline I have to drive out of. The sleet was the thing that was preventing me from getting any traction.
