I bought my Silverado from this dealership and regret it after seeing this Camaro. All 35th SS's are RED period. Here is a black SS that they put some stickers on and marked up the price 5K $.

Its the Hendrick chevy in Cary NC.

Would this Hendrick Chevrolet happen to be owned by "Rick Hendrick" as in Jeff Gordon's car owner? Wouldnt surprise me seeing as he has been slammed before for scams.

Yes it is him. But i cant blame him for paying off the Japs to get the best hondas. They expect gifts in their culture i understand.

Guys, i've sent a link to this thread to my good friend at Chevrolet, the Product Manager for the Camaro.

This should be interesting! I wonder if there is an acceptable way of doing this, such as buying all of the parts for the upgrade and installing them after the fact, or buying the car red and repainting another color?

Well, it seems that Chevy knows about these cars. They are not happy either, but there is really nothing they can do.

I don't see wy you all are getting so upset about it for

it's just a package car, just like the intimidator monte carlo that dale earnhardt chevrolet started selling..

theres nothing you or gm can do about it because they aren't infringing on anything. It's just a sticker and appearance package..

Theres alot more things around to get your panties in a bunch over, than a meesly packaged camaro

who in their right mind (custom mind) would pick a plain boring red camaro over one with graphics and ram air hood,  who gives a crap about the sticker... the look is better

Performance Chevrolet in Durham is a better dealer, but their inventory is lacking.

BTW - I can understand your view on this Larry E, but the way I see it this is like putting a Type-R sticker on a Civic DX.

The idea of somebody else choosing what graphics are gonna be on my car isn't exactly a favorite of mine. Especially when I don't like the graphics.

I think those graphics are ugly, I'd buy a plain black one and add my own graphics later on.

If it had those two solid stripes that came in Camaro SS's back then, I would have different feelings on it.

    • I really appreciate the response.  I guess I was confused about torque angle vs torque angle yield.  The individual bolts don't have a warning on reuse but the part number for the LCA nuts does.   Regarding the purpose of the moog grease fittings on their bolts .. Guessing to reduce possibility of corrosion locking the cams or seizing to the bushing inserts.
    • The top speed is software limited, I don't think there's a way to change it without de-doing the whole truck. If you can get a CAN log per my above post we can try seeing if there's anything obvious going on. What happens when you plug the truck in to charge it, does it ever fully charge up or does it stay at low battery %?
    • The LCA bolts are NOT a one time use fastener.  GM does not have them called out as such at all.   They are torque plus degree, but not a one time use TTY.  Nowhere in the service manual does it call out for replacing the LCA bolts for being one time use.  The factory spec would apply to the Moog bolts as well.    I see two things different.  The Moog bolts are greaseable (which I see no point in) and they don't have one of the washers welded to the bolt like the factory bolts, so they can be used in all 4 positions.      Think about it.  The LCA bolts are now the alignment adjustment point, instead of the UCA bolts like the prior generation.  A bolt that is meant to be adjusted for alignment...would it make sense to make it a one time use component?  How would you get an alignment done in the first place?  You couldn't.       Also.  What TSB exactly?  There is no TSB that I see for 2019-2026 for over-torquing LCA bolts.  There was a PI, PIT5533C, but that covered 2014-2018 body trucks for re-torquing LCA mounting bolts.  But those trucks to a 2019-2026?  Not the same, so PIT5533C does not apply.
    • Nice looking setup!  Is this the kit you got?  If so 211 is a great deal!  https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/trailering-camera-system-86584184   My TT came with a wireless rear camera but it only works on an app or a separate screen they sell so I've decide it's not worth the hassle since it keeps disconnecting and with wireless android auto it's a hassle trying to connect my phone to it.  So I've been thinking about adding the GM camera so it's integrated into the rest of the camera views.   I also found this one which seems to be a different PN & retail price that explicitly states the invisible trailer view https://www.shopchevyparts.com/chevrolet/2024/silverado-2500-hd/electronics/85825715-silverado-2500-trailer-camera-transparent-view-requires-trg-camera-provisions-p-92326971.html?sort=2a
