No Lighter

The left aux power works on the phones, etc- but not on the lighter. I even bought a new lighter at the dealership, and they swear it is the correct part. Fuse #53 under the hood looks good- what else can I try?? (besides quitting the evil weed)

I know they offer the smokers package which obviously includes a lighter and ashtray... But i would imagine if you stick a lighter in the 12v port it should charge either way? Thats baffling.

 

 

EDIT- lol beat me to it... but still id imagine that the lighter should work plugged into the aux 12v

The smokers package includes a new socket that is able to hold the lighter while it is pushed in. You will need to remove the original socket which is smooth inside and replace with the socket in the smokers package. Just went thru this with my father in-laws 2011 about 2 weeks ago.

Did you use a test light and check for power? if not your shooting in the breeze.

A lighter will not work in the sockets that come in the GMT 900s.
