Got back from traveling Monday. Truck was a wreck (photo 1,2, & 3), and it has been about 30-40 degrees. Took it to the local car wash and used the manual spray to knock off some of the salt. on Monday afternoon. Tuesday I washed (Optimum No Rinse) the front fenders and hood and applied DP poli coat (paint sealant) Also cleaned the rims and applied DP wheel glaze. Wednesday I washed (Optimum No Rinse) the rest of the truck and also applied poly coat. Today (Thursday) I applied some Poorboys Nattys Liquid Paste wax to the hood and front fenders after the paint sealant cured and also cleaned the interior. Tomorrow I will apply the nattys to the rest of the truck. Amazingly all products worked well in the 40 degree temps of my garage. Now I dont want to take it out with all the rain/snow melting. It gets to sit in the garage until next Tuesday if needed

Anytime, I love doing this stuff. My wife hates that I do it because I put alot of hours into it. Its a great stress relief for me. I enjoy doing it much more in the spring/summer though.

i wish i could get out and wash mine  but my truck won't fit into my garage so i don't want to risk the locks freezing up after being washed..until it warms up its going to have to live with the sand, salt, mud coating it

I give mine a quick rinse if it gets above freezing, just to get the salt off! The detailing comes first warm day of spring when I can wax the boat and the truck!

You have the second truck I have seen here with black runingbords/tube from salt country.

Are they the factory tubes? It looks like it from what I can tell.

Thats the one thing left that I really need to get done on my truck.

Thanks

I think you might have one of the cleanest trucks around, especially since its winter. I would like to clean my truck also, but with the garage being not that well lighted, I easily miss spots when I wax the vehicles.

I can relate to the last picture. I had the truck out due to some snow we got late in the week and this weekend. Thankfully, she was already dirty.

Don't you just hate that feeling when you back a detailed truck out of the garage into the rain or snow? I sure do. All that hard work gets ruined in 30 seconds. But I enjoy detailing.
