Hey everyone, I've been a member for a bit now but mostly just lurk doing searches to gain more info on my truck. Im from Ontario Canada and ready to start spending bucks on my ride. Im about to pull the trigger on some new rims and rubber for my truck but need a little last minute info! I know your all sick of the offset/backspacing q's , but I need real world info. I understand how the measurment's work but my searches have yielded no answer to my most important question! I'll be installing a 6" lift in the spring with 35" nitto trails. Ok...... im goin with 18" XD stars (no one has them around here and I like them LOL)... with the 0 degree offset and 5.00 backspacing, how far will the rims stick out? .... and with the bulge from the 35" trails? ... im going for a more aggresive look so im hoping at least 1.5 inches or better. No need for backspacing and offset diagrams.... looking for real world answers. .... On a side note, im hoping to start a thread with rim offset, backspacing and tiresize specs that can become a sticky to answer anyone elses questions!! Let me know what you think of this thread idea, as anyone could contribute and have a nice database for others to look for specs! ............. haha sorry for the novel......... .... forgot to add ,,,,,, truck is an 09 4x4 extended cab.

It depends on the lift as well as the wheels. I'll just asssume that you're going with one of the more conventional knuckle kits, so you can expect the front track width to be extended 1-1.5" from the lift alone. Add in another 1.5" or so for your wheels/tires. You should expect to see the front tires sticking out roughly 3-ish inches from the front fender wells.

Thanx for the reply matt, wow thats kinda what im going for! .... I understand that the front stance could be affected by the type of lift, but does that mean that since the rear of the truck being only lifted by blocks/springs will cause the front rims to be sticking out more than the back? Is there a way to correct for the difference?

Yes, the fronts will stick out more than the rears. It's not something that bothers me as it's not terribly noticeable, but others will add wheel spacers to the rears.

Here's an example of mine:
