"Investigators say speed may have been a factor. "

Seriously?

:nonod:

I'm thinking that the excessive rapid deceleration was the culprit here..

Holy Smokes! :nonod:

Not sure about suing GM, but I'm sure something would be made of the fact the snowbank up against the barrier probably acted as a ramp in this incident.

Which is why you shouldn't drive on the snow banks.

Congrats, You succeeded in missing my point entirely......

All I'm saying is watch for somebody to start blaming the city snowplows for piling up snow up against barriers. Wouldn't surprise me the least.

Actually it crossed my mind.... A barrier is supposed to be there for stopping a vehicle from going over... In this case it showed that the snow, probably packed so tight , and ice covered made a ramp for the truck to jump..

Here in buffalo, most of the streets i drive, the plows do an excellent job of having there blade within inches from the barriers, so the plow blade will uncover the barriers!

Is it just me, or does the LR tire look like the tread was worn away on the outside edge? I guess it could be just the way the light was on it, or maybe it's my 46 year old eyes, but it just doesn't look right. If that is the case, it could have went flat when she was making the curve on the ramp.

You have to wonder why they need to add stuff like "The family says they are in a state of complete shock and sadness." Sort of like how the media likes to try to interview the parents of a kid that just got killed the same day it happened.
