Just a quick google search landed me two numbers - $33,000 for a "mobile version," and $36,000 for a "studio version." Not sure if that's true, or even what that means, but I'd better start saving my pennies

You want a GigaPan. $350 for one that works with P&S, $895 for the DSLR model. It's what was used to make the famous panoramic of Obama's inauguration.
