General Grabbers Or Trail Grapplers

I have narrowed it down to 2 tires in 33x12.50 on 18x9 KMC HD Spies. I know the trail grapplers are great tires, but I am hearing alot of good things about the grabbers. Does anyone have the grabbers if so can you post pics of them on your truck and any comments you have about them.

the m/t's will probably wear faster. so unless you do a lot of off-roading, it may be worth it to just get a good a/t.

but then again, i plan on getting an m/t for my next set and i dont go mudding all that often anymore.

Both are great tires.

If you want a mud terrain, get the Grapplers.

If you want an AT, get the Generals.

It's pretty cut and dry

Grabbers, as an AT tire will: last longer, run quieter, probably weigh less

Grapplers, as an MT tire will: look better, perform better offroad

actually i believe m/t's will last longer, well in my experience anyway. there are a much harder rudder therefor less ware.

nitto makes great tires. i have the mud grapplers and i have just over 10,000kms and they look brand new. my old A/Ts were bald in 7000 kms. and i drove the same with both tires.

thats weird because a I read a review in Peterson's and they called the Grabbers M/Ts. Also said they were pretty much one of the best tires they have tested. Not sure what tire I am going to buy now, not going to go beat the shit out of my truck very much but I like the look of a mt.

Are you talking about the General Grabber AT2 or the General Grabber MT?

PS: Almost all MTs don't last longer than ATs. Rubber compound is different by manufacturer. There is also less area contacting the ground which results in higher pressures on the tread; that's where the majority of the wear comes from (that and the edges of the tread get chewed up as they rotate, hence the road noise)

I had a set of General Grabber AT2's and they didn't wear very well. They were a great tire for traction, but just didn't last very long.

Grabber style is old too the grapplers are much better looking

Never seen the Grabbers in person, my vote is for the Nitto

I haven't run either one, but I heard the same thing about the NITTO's. I'll stick with my Hankooks, but the Grabbers were my second choice.

Im talking about the Grabber MT, I hav'nt even looked at the AT. The Review I read was saying how they ride like an AT and have traction like an MT. Never seen them on a GM, but I have seen them on a Dodge 2500.....very good looking tire without the bad ride( at least thats what I gathered from the article)

toyo makes great tires. they last a long time.

the goodyear wrangler m/t's are made with kevlar, i don;t know how often you will be getting shot at, but i think they are also a good tire.

but since you didn't ask about them i say go for the trail grappler's. when i was buying my tires they were EXPENSIVE. About 20 bucks cheaper then my 33'' mud grapplers. i hope they came down in price for you, if you do end up buying them.
